The   <\/span><b>Live demonstration<\/b><span class=\"s2\"> offered practical insights into the <\/span><b>future sewage sludge treatment<\/b><span class=\"s2\"> under real conditions.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Professional exchange at the highest level<\/b><\/h3>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s2\">The workshop brought together <\/span><b>experts from industry, research, authorities and municipalities<\/b><span class=\"s2\">  together. In a varied program consisting of   <\/span><b>specialist lectures<\/b><span class=\"s2\">, <\/span><b>panel discussions<\/b><span class=\"s2\"> and <\/span><b>technology presentations<\/b><span class=\"s2\"> current developments in sludge drying <\/span><b>sludge drying and phosphorus recovery<\/b><span class=\"s2\"> were highlighted.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The topics discussed included:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Efficient <\/span><b>drying systems for sewage sludge<\/b><b><\/b><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"p1\">Innovations in the field of <span class=\"s1\"><b>sewage sludge utilization<\/b><b><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"p1\">Technologies for the recovery of <span class=\"s1\"><b>elemental phosphorus (P\u2084)<\/b><b><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"p1\">Contribution of sludge drying to <span class=\"s1\"><b>CO\u2082 reduction<\/b><b><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"p1\">Importance of resource-conserving processes for the <span class=\"s1\"><b>sustainability and the circular economy<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><b>Target group: Experts from wastewater technology, environmental management and municipal facilities<\/b><\/h3>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s2\">The event was aimed at a broad specialist audience &#8211; from <\/span><b>plant operators<\/b><span class=\"s2\"> and <\/span><b>environmental authorities<\/b><span class=\"s2\"> up to <\/span><b>municipal decision-makers<\/b><span class=\"s2\">, <\/span><b>planning offices<\/b><span class=\"s2\"> and <\/span><b>waste management companies<\/b><span class=\"s2\">. The networking event not only offered  <\/span><b>up-to-date specialist knowledge<\/b><span class=\"s2\">but also space for <\/span><b>personal exchange and cooperation<\/b><span class=\"s2\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Conclusion: Milestone for sewage sludge treatment and phosphorus recovery<\/b><\/h3>\n<p class=\"p1\">The workshop at ISWA Stuttgart impressively demonstrated how <span class=\"s1\"><b>technological innovations<\/b><\/span> and <span class=\"s1\"><b>practical solutions<\/b><\/span> to achieve the <span class=\"s1\"><b>EU requirements for phosphorus recovery<\/b><\/span> can contribute.
